The Age of Aquarius

Where and when will we see the Age of Aquarius?
When will we see compassion and enlightenment?
The quest for power, money, and possessions robs all
who seek it.
Capitalism and greed are, have been, and will continue to be the driving
factor in this material realm. Few, except those who've taken a vow of poverty,  will ever experience the oneness of the natural world without it.
The indigenous man, once understood that trinkets and possessions only bring envy and strife. The idea that we think we actually own something is a lie.
In fact it owns you.
The possession of land is an oddity to me. To think that one man can own vast swaths of land is ridiculous. For one, it's much larger than you, and another, how much do you actually need? I suppose the argument could be made that farmers, and those that tend livestock need big patches of land, as the natural resources propagate the need. But ordinary people who don't require it, really dont need it.
I know people with lavish houses, six, sometimes ten rooms for all their useless stuff.
I have lived in a 12×20 room for many years, and as an artist most of it is studio space. I do have some doodads and odd things, but I never collect more than I can carry away in one truckload. Most of it is sentimental,  others personal items like clothes and tools.
I have a friend whose mother has three houses, two sit empty, and ten storage units, all filled to the brim with things she probably will never see before she dies.
I see her as a victim.
Prey to the unscrupulous advertisers who create unnecessary need in others. Pick a category,  from supposed time saving devices to extravagant and gaudy opulent, and sometimes brobdingnaggian things that require six men and a boy to move.
So many with so much, while many more have little or no shelter.
Homelessness is rampant,  and it isn't just old drunken hobos anymore, but entire families, many with small children. It breaks my heart to see it.
All because of greed.
Others feel the need for power.
To attain it, often means that many others have to suffer for it.
Kingly positions, harkening to a former age of nobility, where, there too, the serfs also suffered at the hands of a self imposed or worse, appointed lord.
Landlords have this opulent narcissistic trait as well. They wield this power
over tenants monthly, with an extended hand, expecting payment, a penance for existing in their space.
But how much space do you need?
Along with that need for power, comes the arrogant ideal, that they should also have someone else's things, resources, and land.
Wars are always perpetrated on those who have little, and soon become refugees of struggles created by men who will never lose a thing.
They don't actually do the fighting,  they just fund it.
The ones dying in the fight are the poor, working class, who directed by
Those who intend to keep power, have no problem killing their own citizens
to achieve this goal.
Years of death and destruction,  all so someone can say
"It's Mine"
or
"It belongs to Us"
Possession is the sin.
Sharing is the solution.
I hope one day soon we will indeed reach an new Age.
Perhaps then, we will put an end to wars, stop robbing our neighbours
for shelter, share resources, build together, for the betterment of humanity.
March out of this greedy hellscape into a world that's prosperous for everyone,  not just the few, entitled folks that share the same earthling DNA.
Humanity needs some Humanity
Let us usher in that enlightened Age of Aquarius.
