The War on the Poor

 Well, the war on the poor is now in full swing. Many migrants who, for years and years, have come to this country to do the jobs white Americans refuse to do, are now under attack from this blatantly Racist and xenophobic regime. Mostly construction labour, harvesters and fruit and vegetable pickers, and service workers. This year has seen record numbers of unharvested crops, literally rot off the vine because of bigotry,  from white supremacist politicians in the Republican party. They sabotaged this countries own stability, to stick it to some of the hardest working people in this country. 

All because of hate.

Immigrant farm labourers are notoriously underpaid, and abused by a system that keeps them in poverty.  Many unions protect farmers from being abused by trade, but not migrants employed as agricultural labourers, and those employed in the domestic services of any person, family or home. So nannies and gardeners, fruit pickers and vegetable harvesters are exempt from unionization. A great deal of these are mostly undocumented workers.

I personally have noticed the decline in the quality of produce in last 10 years. Lettuce is brown, many packaged vegetables are consistently recalled due to salmonella or listeria contamination.  Now Trump has set in motion the dismantling of food safety,  stripping the FDA of inspectors and guidelines. 

The intent of these white supremacists is to force many of this country's marginalized and poor, to replace the overworked yet underpaid migrant, they're currently demonizing and sending off to gulags, many of which they directly profit from.

They decry the immigrants as Rapists, gang members, murderers, and thieves,  stealing your jobs and livelihood.  In the last 150 days I haven't  seen one gang member, rapist, or murderer deported. Only hard working minority citizens being arrested at their job sites, most of which have been trying to navigate the narrow path to citizenship. Arrested by brownshirts wearing balaclavas to hide their identities at immigration hearings. They might as well be wearing Klan hoods, the result is exactly the same. 

Why is it a war on the poor? Proof positive is the fact that the current administration is literally selling citizenship to the highest bidder. For the incredible price of five million dollars, you can now buy your way into America. Ironically, White South Africans are exempt from bigotry, and welcomed in by those that share their apartheid views. It's blatant Racism, and a return to the Jim Crow era.

Now they're stripping medicaid from people who need it the most. The intent is to force people with health problems back into the workforce. Most people who rely on Medicaid are at or below the poverty line.  The rest are Forced to pay for healthcare, even leading many to total destitution. Socialised medicine works in every country where it is instituted,  the difference between here and there is simply, Greed.

My partner and best friend is on hospice. She suffers from CHF and tumors. She relies on Medicaid for her medication and hospice care. She was told today that Medicaid is now forcing her off of hospice. She is on 8 ltrs of oxygen constantly from a concentrator.  She is bedridden,  and on high doses of pain medication. She can barely shower with assistance. Going short distances in her apartment exhausts her. Recent letters from Medicaid indicate that she will be required to find work... she is not able to do this.

As her caregiver I have seen her decline, while her care becomes challenged  by those who write laws, they themselves ironically, are afforded healthcare with unlimited benefits, including their own immediate family. 

We are seeing a new age where fear and anxiety is the normal, where those who work the hardest are forced to hide, in a dystopian world, very similar to Anne Frank's, where Fascists rule without mercy.

They manufacture crisis to keep people divided. And use manipulation and fear to control us. This is Not governance, this is domination. The self righteous ecumenical society is forcing it's dementia on everyone, far from the teachings of Christ, with zero empathy or care for individuals rights.

They came for women's reproductive rights, they're obliterating minority communities with their Gestapo style incarcerations. Trans lives are threatened, the LGBTQ will have all their rights removed very soon, they may even be sent to the corporate owned gulags as well in the near future. Liberals are already a target, and anyone who opposes the fuhrer will be crushed. 

While Democrats continue to stand up for the marginalized and downtrodden, Republicans are systematically furthering their agenda of 2025, which is indeed, a War on the Poor.
