The War on the Poor

 Well, the war on the poor is now in full swing. Many migrants who, for years and years, have come to this country to do the jobs white Americans refuse to do, are now under attack from this blatantly Racist and xenophobic regime. Mostly construction labour, harvesters and fruit and vegetable pickers, and service workers. This year has seen record numbers of unharvested crops, literally rot off the vine because of bigotry,  from white supremacist politicians in the Republican party. They sabotaged this countries own stability, to stick it to some of the hardest working people in this country.  All because of hate. Immigrant farm labourers are notoriously underpaid, and abused by a system that keeps them in poverty.  Many unions protect farmers from being abused by trade, but not migrants employed as agricultural labourers, and those employed in the domestic services of any person, family or home. Flags

 We seem to be defined by our display of flags... Each person more than likely owns one. Most are National flags representative of the country one resides in, or was born into. Some are school banners, where one was educated, while others represent their favourite sports teams. Even unions have flags,  and yet others pop out of toy guns to elicit a comical response with the word "BANG" written on them. The worst in my opinion are flags that honour cults. The KKK carried flags in parades since the early 1900's with phrases like "America First" and "Make America Great Again" both slogans have adorned flags and hats celebrating the resurgence of oppression by both Trump administrations. Dawn of a New Age

 A new year promises more uncertainty.  2025...what can I say? With the new administration taking hold in the US, the corporate mobsters begin their assault on the populace.  More profit, more control, and a lunatic dictator who has promised to rename the  Gulf of Mexico, seize the Panama canal,  and take Greenland, by force if necessary.  Trump is just like his handler and hero Putin, and he won't stop there. The Age of Aquarius

Where and when will we see the Age of Aquarius?  When will we see compassion and enlightenment?  The quest for power, money, and possessions robs all who seek it. Capitalism and greed are, have been, and will continue to be the driving factor in this material realm. Few, except those who've taken a vow of poverty,  will ever experience the oneness of the natural world without it. The indigenous man, once understood that trinkets and possessions only bring envy and strife. The idea that we think we actually own something is a lie.  In fact it owns you. The possession of land is an oddity to me. To think that one man can own vast swaths of land is ridiculous. For one, it's much larger than you, and another, how much do you actually need? I suppose the argument could be made that farmers, and those that tend livestock need big patches of land, as the natural resources propagate the need. The Disparity of Christianity in a Capitalist society

  Today’s capitalist society is antithetical to any semblance of Christianity. People whose only concern is to aquire more and more while others around them suffer, are not following the teachings of Jesus Christ. He said that it was easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of Heaven.  He slso told a rich man to sell everything he had, give it to the poor, then pick up his cross and follow him. I was written that this troubled the rich man greatly.  The truth is that to be a true Christian is to be in service, something that is sorely lacking in todays communities.  I see so many homeless,  begging on corners in Salt Lake City, a supposed hub of the "Church of Jesus Christ, of the Latter Day Saints" but the only thing I have experienced here, is pure,  unadulterated greed. End The Monarchies begin with Cultural Reparations

The year is 2022. To think that outdated systems or rule, like a monarchy could still exist is preposterous.  The advent of the internet has seen the exposure of cultural abhorrences,   from indigenous land grabbing, to the theft of  historical, even sacred objects, now on display at museums of Anglo colonizers, far from the native culture from which it spawned. Today Lakota tribesmen can only visit their sacred relics in white held stongholds that quietly keep them boxed away from public view. Elitist auction houses like Sotheby’s continue to hock precious indigenous creations to the highest bidder, with no regard for their places in indigenous rituals and history.  The conservative right has been on the wrong side of most issues. For years we were told that Global warming was a myth, by the politicians being supported by the worst polluters on the planet. Still they insist that everthings fine... with intense heat, while the world burns. Australia got a clue, when in 2020, the worst wildfire season on record devastated the country. During the pandemic,  they claimed it was a hoax, refused to wear PPE, and perpetuated what should have been containable with "Super Spreader Events" all to stroke the narcissistic need of one idiot.
